Genuine Question

Genuine query:

As I have a follicle on each side, but I'm not being triggered, will I ovulate at different times or the same time? It sounds really dumb, but I just realised that I don't know. Does this make my 'fertile window' longer?

I thought only one egg would come out, even if there were two follicles. I thought your body kills off the second one.

Probably not. The LH surge, which will be triggered by a hormonal feedback mechanism involving your ovaries, hypothalamus, and pituitary, should trigger ovulation from both follicles at more or less the same time. There have been reports of women ovulating more than once in a cycle, but those incidents should involve eggs at different stages of "ripeness," and this is a rare phenomenon.

Hmm, don't know about this but Sara's response sounds right. I know it's very rare to ovulate more than once a cycle but don't know if that applies to stimulated cycles...

I can't give an answer either, but wanted to wish you the best of luck for this cycle!
